Slough U7/8s entered two teams and had a great time at their first ever festival. Brilliant defensive work saw Hashim, Jacob and Ethan make a huge number of excellent try-stopping tags while good attacking play from Pranay and Hamza was rewarded with a try apiece. A quick pick and run down the full length of the pitch took Zachary over the line, a mazy run from Sophia adding to the score next while excellent handling at the turnover saw Archie plant the ball across the line and a whole team effort helped Matthew across the whitewash. A great first festival experience for the club's youngest age group.

Slough U9s improved game after game with tries for Julien, Henry, Noah and Deepika while Emily, Hugo and Suhnena put in a great shift to keep the ball alive and the team moving forward together. An excellent effort all round.

A combined Slough and Hillingdon Abbots U10s team played some very good rugby with Omar scoring after some great team play, good support at the breakdown and a series of strong breaks leading to more tries for the team.

Slough U11s joined forces with Rams for the day to gain valuable match experience.

Slough RFC Youth Chairman, Martin Tilby, said “A very successful festival even if the weather did try to put a damper on it. We welcomed 600 players from across 12 clubs to participate in our festival and they all had a great time getting to play and embodied the TREDS values. Our Tombola stall did well and the cake stall sold out. I would like to say a big thank you to the Festival team for giving up their time to volunteer and organise in the background to make sure we had a successful day.”
