Please see the following letter from the new Youth Chairman, Martin Tilby.

Dear all,

I am writing this to introduce myself to you as the new Youth Chairman. My name is Martin Tilby and in the last 11 years of being part of Slough RFC I have played for the first team and have captained the second team for the last 4 seasons.

I have also coached, starting with U7s all the way through to Colts who are now moving up to the seniors.

Next season I will not just be Youth Chairman I will also be coach for the U12s so I will be hands on and look forward to meeting and working with the new generation of the youth section coming up through the ranks and being acquainted with parents.

As Youth Chairman my first job will be asking all those that can spare an hour or two on Sundays to help at club - can you please do so.

Our club, and especially the Youth section, rely on volunteers and not only do we need volunteers to help with kitchen and bar we also need more parents to help our coaches as assistant coaches - this way everyone will feel part of the club and be pushing in the right direction.

It does not matter if you have no experience with Rugby as the RFU run very good courses to give you the knowledge and confidence to help with coaching and the club will repay course fees.

If you are interested in coaching then please make myself or Mary Blumbergs (Coaching Co-ordinator), aware by contacting us on the below emails and if you’d just like to help by volunteering with kitchen & bar duties then please let me know.

I am looking forward to challenges that will be ahead but I know with the right help and support from all the club members Slough Youth section will be a success and we will move forward and become a stronger club, stronger family.

Many Thanks
Martin Tilby
Slough RFC Youth Chairman
