Dear Members,

As part of the continued efforts to improve the Slough RFC 'experience' I am pleased to inform you that this year we will be producing match day programmes for the men's senior 1st XV home league games. I believe this will add a nice touch to our home fixtures, increase the level of hospitality received by our guests and provide a fun way of engaging our valued supporters (with what will hopefully be some entertaining / engaging content).

I am writing to you today on two fronts in relation to the above:

1. We currently have two full pages worth of advertising available in the programmes. If you as members know any local businesses, organisations, functions, restaurants or people who would be interested in advertising (full or half page) in our programmes then please could you contact me. The price for advertising is very reasonable and further details are available on request. Similarly, if you are someone who would simply like to support this venture by contributing towards the cost without wanting an advert in place, please feel free to contact me.

2. If you are a budding writer, have something you wish to share with the audience of the club and its visitors or want to contribute ideas that could be used for articles / content please feel free to contact me. Younger members might like to practice their skills as a 'journalist' (great for the CV) and likewise older members might like to try their hand at something they'd always wished they had done.

My vision for this year’s programmes is that they become a community experience, created and digested by our wonderful cohort at Slough RFC, as a way of sharing stories, success and challenges faced by our members who may not always be able to attend on a Saturday afternoon. Without getting too carried away, I believe this is an opportunity to improve communication between all sections of the rugby club and I encourage you all to use the opportunity to its full extent.

I hope to hear from you soon with either some advertising interest (to financially enable the sustainability of this project) OR some cracking articles from the next Jeremy Paxmans amongst us.

Kind Regards,

Rhys Amos
