Slough Juniors Impress

SLough U15s/U16s combined was invited to play at Reading festival. Slough played 3 games and conceded no tries.
The juniors trusted each other and played well, they communicated in defense and in attack everyone from 1-18 done their job and done it well.
Some first up tackles may have been missed but boys made sure second up tackle was made. Juniors was organised in defense and very disciplined staying on side. When they attacked they ran at pace and at space..

Juniors played 3 games in total last 20mins one way.

First game was aginst Bracknell and spent most of game in Bracknell half and walked away with 7-0 win try scored by Joe and converted by Harry Turner.

Second game was against Hungerford and boy improved for this game walking away 14-0 winners tries scored by Matteo and Joe and both converted by Harry Turner.

Third and final game was against a Reading/Beaconsfield Baa Baas team and was a well contested game, slough got thier tries after dogged defense and moving ballwhen needed and managinf to shake a few tackles. Juniors walked away 28-0 winners.
Tries Jo x 2 and kieran Brewer x 2, 3 x converted by Harry Turner and 1 x converted by Dan Harris.

Forward of match wnet to Kieran Lanigan for his work rate at break down being a nuisance and securing our ball.
Back of match went to Jaden King for his tackling was spot on and made 2 important tackles to help keep a clean sheet.

It was good to finally see Harry Turner put all his good practice of kicking to action and for Joe,Kieran to get there tries after hard work from rest of team to create the space for them.

Also a big thank you to Callum Morgan and Jack Spiller even thou they was injured they still came along to show support and help with water bottles and warm up.

Great team spirit and a pleasure to see them grow as a team.
